Travel to Suryalanka beach (Guntur District)

This is the first blog that we have started to write about our travels. Hope this is more informative.

School declared Dasara holidays from 14 Oct till 25 Oct 2015. So Dad and I jotted down the places we can visit for 2 Days around Hyderabad and we have finalised to visit Suryalanka beach near Guntur district.

We have made a resort reservation 1 week before our travel on their website as it is holiday season. Since we are going to beach, I came up with checklist of items to be carried, extra clothing and plastic bags to carry wet clothes.

Before the day of our travel by road, we gave our car for servicing, filled the tank full, checked air pressure for all 4 tyres and stepony. It's a 7 hrs journey so we have decided to carry breakfast and some food for the travel. All packing was completed as per the checklist.

On the day of our travel, we started from home at 3:20 AM So that we could reach suryaLanka early. With the help of GPRS, we travelled on ORR towards Narketpalli, Narasaraopet, Chilkaraopet, chirala, Bapatla. One of our rear tyre busted and dad changed it with the help of a passer-by. We are very thankful to him for his timely help. We continued our travel to Suryalanka and reached by one in the afternoon. 

It was sunny and we were tired after the long journey. We checked in Haritha Resort.  We had our lunch and then took rest till 4 PM as the weather started to cool down. Since it is time for fishing season from October to February, you can see fishing happening at the beach.

The water is cool and soothing to the feet. All our tiredness was gone once we have seen the beach and ran into the deep water to play with my little sister and dad. We saw some itsy-bitsy crabs at the sea shore. We played till the sun set and then we went back to our rooms to freshen up again and we took some photographs. Once it became dark, we went back to the beach to explore the surroundings. We saw some wild cows taking rest at the beach.

 We got up in the morning at 5:50 to watch the sunrise 

We had breakfast at 9:05 and it is hot. We went for seeing surrounding places. First we went to Ipurupalem where sarees are woven. They weave both pure silk and polyester sarees.

And we also went to Vadarevu (Chirala beach) where we saw many fishing boats at the beach.We bought some dry fishes and dry prawns from there.

We went to Bapatla where my grandpa and my grandma studied and they also got married in Bapatla. We went to a hotel called NICE where we had our lunch and the lunch was tasty. We went back to Suryalanka resort. We took rest at 2:09 woke up at 4:00 and walked on the beach till 6:00 we came back to the resort it started becoming dark. We had our dinner and we went for a walk. I collected some shells at the beach.

Next day morning, we had a photo session with Dad and at 9:00 AM we had our tiffin and started back to Hyderabad and travelled 443km to reach Hyderabad.
